You will be a Specialist Nurse Practitioner (Band 7) working  in the Psychotherapy  service based at Dykebar Hospital, Paisley, covering the Renfrewshire and lnverclyde HSCP area.  The department is predominantly psychodynamic in model, offering individual and group-based psychodynamic psychotherapy, and mentalisation-based therapy (MBT) for those suffering emotionally unstable personality disorder. We also offer highly specialist CST for borderline personality disorder.  You will be required to undertake specialised psychotherapy assessments and treatment interventions, working individually and in groups with adults experiencing complex difficulties including co-morbid psychiatric disorders, trauma and personality disorders. There will be an expectation to attend regular clinical supervision and participate in CPO.  You will have the opportunity to take a role in the delivery of supervision to other members of staff, provide consultation and formulation on complex cases as well as teaching, training; and promotion of reflective practice. They will be involved in the development of the psychotherapy service and its links with the inpatient and community mental health services, and be expected to contribute to the governance and management of it.  Given the breadth and complexity of the duties above, and the requirement for you to be able to work autonomously you must have completed training in Mental Health Nursing (Diploma, Degree or Masters Level) and hold a current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council, with a license to practice. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. Substantial knowledge and experience gained through post­ registration RMN training is expected.  You must hold a formal post-graduate qualification in psychological therapies at Diploma-level or above, such one in Psychodynamic Counselling, CST, or the IGA Diploma in Group Work Practice, or equivalent specialist training and experience and be accredited (or accreditable) with the BPC, UKCP, or BABCP.
