Ward 62 are looking for an experienced orthopaedic nurse with leadership skills or potential to join our senior nursing team. We have a reputation for being friendly and welcoming, whilst operating in a busy environment.
The Orthopaedic Unit in Glasgow Royal Infirmary delivers a varied range of specialist surgeries for fractures/injuries and elective orthopaedic surgery for the North of Glasgow.
We are currently the holder of the Golden Hip, which is awarded to the highest overall performing hospital in Scotland for the care of hip fracture patients, and GRI was recently ranked Scotland’s best hospital by US publication Newsweek. The unit comprises of 60 Trauma Receiving, 27 Elective beds, Fracture and Orthopaedic clinics, this post is based the Trauma Receiving ward 62. We are a close multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively across the unit.
It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration and a minimum of 2 years trauma experience
Hours are 37.5 hours per week full time, working a 12 hour shift pattern over 7 days, including Public Holidays, some night shift working is required.
