NHS Borders have a permanent opportunity for a forward thinking Senior Nurse / Midwife or Allied Health Professional with a passion for education to lead our Clinical & Professional Development Team.
You will have a real enthusiasm for making things happen, improving outcomes and experiences for patients by supporting Nurses, Midwives and AHPs through undergraduate and post graduate education and developments. You will work closely with the regional universities and NHS Education Scotland.
NHS Borders serves a population of approximately 110,200 and employs in the region of 4,000 staff across 1 District General Hospital, 4 x Community Hospitals, a variety of Health/Medical Centres and 26 GP Practices.
Accountable and reporting to to the Executive Director of Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals, your development will be enhanced aligned to your needs. You will work strategically to create learning and development opportunities to address essential workforce priorities, and service redesign needs across the three Clinical Boards of Acute, Mental Health and Learning Disability and Primary and Community Services. You will also have an opportunity to support the integration agenda working with social care partners to help deliver whole population outcomes.
