As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership.  We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.
The Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities (PCF) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) provides a complete range of procurement, commissioning and facilities services to a range of stakeholders including Health Boards, Scottish Government and the wider public sector.  The SBU will provide specific services and expert advice across its portfolio of activity.  Outputs include specialist services commissioning, screening, national contracting, logistics, procurement systems and professional advice and expertise about property, facilities, construction and equipment.
The work involves a full range of administrative and programme/project support services to PCF assisting in the organisation and administration of all aspects of the projects, programmes and business as usual. The role involves ensuring all relevant legislative compliance is adhered to within timescales. The role also involves providing support to the Information Governance group and its workstreams.
You must be a team player and able to co-ordinate your work efficiently and effectively within a larger group structure.   You must have the confidence to act on your own initiative particularly when dealing with confidential duties and enquiries on behalf of the senior management team.
You should have proven experience in a similar role, be educated to HND in Office Administration or related subject or have equivalent experience.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential as are well-developed organisational abilities and a flexible approach to working.   An in-depth knowledge of all Microsoft office packages is required along with project management skills and an excellent attention to detail.
The successful candidate(s) must comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
