The Gastroenterology Department are looking for an enthusiastic new member of staff to join their expanding team. This new Clinical psychologist role is part of a wider business plan to improve service delivery. As the 8b Clinical Psychologist you would provide assessment and treatment to individual patients referred to the service. Another part of the remit of the post will be about consultation, supervision and training to the wider team.

This post is part of ongoing development in the establishment of a Clinical Health psychology service for NHS Highland and will give ample opportunity for the postholder to gain further service development and leadership experience.

The postholder would work in a multidisciplinary Gastroenterology team with Consultants, nursing staff and AHPs but would also have strong links with the wider psychology service. The wider Psychological Service is a growing and dynamic service consisting of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Psychotherapists, and CAAPs.  We take Trainees from the Glasgow University D.Clin.Psych Course, as well as CAAP and Health Psychology Trainees.
