A vacancy has arisen within ward 44 Planned Care for a 1st level trained nurse.
Ward 44 is a gastroenterology combined with colorectal surgery unit.
You will be joining a well motivated and dynamic multi-disciplinary team who strive to deliver the highest level of care possible be part of a forward thinking unit and committed to team working for the benefits of patients.

We offer a full range of gastroenterology and colorectal services this includes bowel surgery, gastrointestinal disorders, liver diseases, and specialist management for patients with inflammatory bowel disease. All methods of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy are provided, including endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP essential for the network cancer services for GI and colorectal malignancy. There are regular teaching sessions in the ward providing specialist expertise in biliary and colorectal procedures including surgery and national bowel screening. There will be supported mentorship available to post holders flying start programme to NQP. Training will be provided in all aspects of gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery. Opportunities will be offered to embrace link nurse experience.
You should be enthusiastic, dynamic and self motivated with a real interest in this combined speciality ward. We are looking for good team players with excellent written and oral communicators.
