Infection Prevention and Control Advisor - Band 6
The Scottish Ambulance Service is on the frontline of the NHS, dispatching immediate medical assistance or clinical advice to over 5 million people across Scotland. Our aim is to offer the highest level of care to our patients as we preserve life and promote recovery, with our skilled workforce bringing care and compassion to those who need it most. We provide ambulance care across the mainland and islands to patients who need support to reach their healthcare appointment, or for their admission to and discharge from hospital, due to their medical or clinical needs. We also transfer some of Scotland's most serious patients and support the ongoing response to the COVID 19 pandemic through our Mobile Testing Units
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Infection Prevention and Control Team (IPCT) - We are looking to recruit a band 6 infection prevention and control advisor to work thirty hours over 4 days (0.6 WTE). The post requires travelling in Scotland including the islands however it will based within Central Scotland.
We are looking for a registered nurse or allied health professional who is enthusiastic, proactive and motivated. This individual should have experience as a band 6 registered practitioner with NMC/HCPC and can demonstrate special interest in infection control. You also must have enthusiasm to continue professional self-development and development of others. This is an ideal training opportunity for a dynamic person, to further their career in a specialist and pivotal field within healthcare.
