Applications are invited for a highly motivated, dynamic and dedicated individual to join the established Dermatology service within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.  We are looking to recruit a Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide support for patients diagnosed with skin cancer, participate in both Consultant and nurse led clinics.  You will also provide support, education and training to patients, their families/carers and other health professionals.
You should be able to demonstrate your ability to fulfil the criteria within the job outline, be able to work both autonomously and within a team, whilst having excellent communication skills, IT and organisational skills and be willing to undertake specialised training in skin surgery.  

The main focus is to provide safe, effective, patient centered care, working within the NMC Code.  It is essential that you are currently registered with the NMC and have relevant experience within Dermatology or cancer services.  This could be a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity for 1 year (37.5 hours).  It will involve working cross site at University Hospital Ayr and University Hospital Crosshouse within Dermatology but will also involve working with other services.  

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a positive attitude, be a driven individual who is flexible to meet the needs of the service, responsive to change and can embrace developing this new role within the current service.
