Salary Scale - £84,984 - £112,925 per annum (pro rata)

NHS Forth Valley seeks to appoint a Consultant Orthodontist 0.6 WTE to work within the acute service based in the Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Stirlingshire, Scotland.
We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, forward thinking Clinician with skills to complement the existing consultants. The combined department currently has a team of 3 Consultants plus this post: 2 Orthodontic Therapists and 2 hygienists who are supported by a team of 10 nurses and an Orthodontic Technician.
The department provides an orthodontic service to a population of 300,000 with 60,000 children under the age of 16 years. There is no on-call commitment.
Treatment of Orthognathic and orthodontic-restorative patients form a significant part of the department's workload as well as training specialists in orthodontics. There is a managed clinical network with the local Specialist Practitioners, who undertake routine Orthodontic treatment. Referrals to the hospital are limited to patients requiring multidisciplinary care or who have special needs. The Department works closely with the Oral and Maxillofacial team and also with the Public Dental Service for the provision of care for the multidisciplinary patients.
