The Care Home Hub offers a new and exciting opportunity to work in partnership with Care Home and HSCP Teams across GGC to drive and develop improvements for both residents and staff. NHSGGC Corporate Nursing, Midwifery and AHP team are looking to recruit motivated, passionate, committed individuals with a particular interest in Quality Improvement.

The post holder will work in partnership with Care Home Hub colleagues to respond to the priorities identified by the Care Home Hubs. A principle component of this role is quality improvement in terms of promoting levels of physical activity. The post holder will have a lead role in overseeing audit processes and developing action plans that will support care homes and care settings to meet the physical activity requirements of care home residents. 

The CAPA Improvement Advisor will provide direction and support for the implementation of evidence based practice and research activity within the area of care homes and care settings. This will be supported by strong links with the Care Inspectorate AHP Consultant and improvement advisor. The post holder will have a practice development role that will support and develop the knowledge and skills of the HSCP and care home workforce, ensuring practice is evidence based and effective.  The post holder will be a highly experienced practicing AHP.  The CAPA Improvement Advisor will utilise investigative practice to evaluate and develop improvements within care homes and care settings.  The post holder will lead in the development and implementation of identified policies and procedures to facilitate delivery of standardised, evidence based practice in care homes and care settings relating to promoting levels of physical activity across the NHSGGC area. This role will support Care Home practitioners to build capacity and resilience.
