Pharmacist Specialist – Primary Care – Band 7

1.6WTE available

Full time (37.5hr/wk) and part time options (min 3 days 22.5hrs/wk)

We have an exciting opportunity for registered pharmacists to join the Formartine Primary Care Pharmacotherapy team.  The post holders will join an evolving team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and be key to the ongoing provision of the pharmacotherapy service promoting quality and cost-effective prescribing across the Formartine Cluster. 

The post holder will work as a pharmacist across GP practice(s) in the Formartine Cluster, Aberdeenshire covering all aspects of medicines management and pharmacotherapy to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines.  This will include working in the cluster base hub and visits to practices across the cluster.

The Formartine Cluster has a population of around 39,000 and includes Ellon, Haddo, Oldmeldrum & Turriff GP Practices.

You may have a community or hospital pharmacy background. Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.  Experience of working within Primary Care, medicines management and audit would be an advantage.  Full driving licence essential. ​​​​​​​
