An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Scientist to take up this senior position in the Department. The post holder will lead and manage the comprehensive scientific and technical services that cover all aspects of Clinical Treatment Planning and Radiotherapy Imaging.  The Centre operates thirteen Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, with a wide range of specialised VMAT planning techniques including SABR for many primary and oligometastatic sites, all delivered using FFF technology. We are a world-leading site in the implementation of model-based optimisation algorithms. Later this year, the centre will open a new MRI simulator dedicated to radiotherapy planning.  The successful candidate will be based at the Beatson, Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow but will be required to carry out some duties at the Beatson satellite centre in Airdrie, Lanarkshire. Applicants should be State Registered as Clinical Scientist by the Health and Care Professions Council and Registered as Medical Physics Expert. You should able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, with experience of managing teams and you should have a strong track record of leading scientific service development in clinical radiotherapy settings.  You should be a pro-active with the enthusiasm and drive to take forward this challenging but rewarding post.
