Salary Range £21,709 - £23603 per annum (pro rata)
Local Decontamination Unit Van Driver
Band 2
Salary Range £19,609 – 21,615 per annum (pro rata)
NHS Shetland require relief workers; we call this ‘bank’ work. Bank working is used to cover shifts/part shifts where, for example, staff on annual leave, vacant posts or unexpected absence. Bank posts do not involve regular hours but you may be offered casual work when available.
LDU Operative
Based at Montfield Dental Health Centre in Lerwick, you will work as part of a team providing sterilised equipment for the NHS Dental service. This is an important role in ensuring the safe and effective provision of dentistry in Shetland.
Educated to standard grade level in English and Numeracy, with good IT skills, you should be willing to undertake the NES: Decontamination of RMD’s course. You should have good interpersonal skills, the ability to work well both within a team and on your own initiative, without direct supervision. Previous experience within a health care setting and a good understanding of infection control procedures are desirable. You will initially be paid at Band 2 (£19,609 - £21,615 per annum pro rata) whilst undergoing training rising to Band 3 upon successful completion of the NES: Decontamination of RMD’s Course.
LDU Van Driver
Based at Montfield Dental Health Centre in Lerwick, the post holder will work as part of a team collecting and delivering instruments between the LDU and the various Dental clinics within Shetland, on a daily basis. This is an important role in ensuring the safe and effective provision of dentistry in Shetland. You must hold a Full UK driving licence, have an understanding of Infection control, be able to prioritise effectively, have good communication skills, and be well organised, enthusiastic and reliable.
