A rarely available and exciting opportunity has arisen for an AHP Team Lead to be appointed to lead a team of Advanced and highly specialist Physiotherapists and Occupational therapists, within the Regional Plastic surgery and National Burns Units. The Regional plastics/National Burns unit is based at Glasgow Royal infirmary, providing both in and outpatient services. This post requires a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist who works at an advanced practice level. You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of a highly complex caseload and be able to provide advice and expert clinical guidance to colleagues and members of the multi-disciplinary team. Our therapy services provide rehabilitation to a varied patient group e.g. Lower limb reconstruction, hand surgery (trauma/elective), microsurgery /reconstruction following cancer surgery, sarcoma service, facial reanimation and combined orthopaedic/plastics trauma. You must have advanced/specialist knowledge of this area of healthcare, some of which will be at the forefront of specialty. You will be confident and have ability to cultivate and evidence the impact of AHP`s and their significant contribution to the overall development and delivery of patient services within this specialist area. You will be responsible for leading and supporting audit, research, service improvement and development as well as operational management of 14 staff. Innovative, communicative and driven, you will have excellent interpersonal skills to provide leadership to the therapy rehabilitation team. HCPC Registration is required, educated to Masters Level or proven equivalent experience.
