We are looking to appoint a new Recruitment Assistant to join our Recruitment Team to support us in delivering an outstanding Recruitment service to our hiring managers and candidates as well as contributing to a wide range of important Recruitment and Selection campaigns which support our clinical and non-clinical workforce.

About the opportunity
We now have an opportunity to appoint a new Recruitment Assistant who will be assigned initially to our General Recruitment team. The successfully appointed candidate will handle a wide range of recruitment and selection administrative activity for Agenda For Change appointments
Duties include working closely with NHSGGC hiring managers and s and their staff, internal and external interview panel members and job applicants in handling vacancy requests to hire, scheduling and administering interviews, carrying out pre-employment checks, issuing offers of employment and facilitating new start payroll engagement processes.
As a part of your role you will support and administer recruitment administration process for your caseload of assigned vacancies and candidates.
NHSGGC has a high level of recruitment activity for all grades of medical and dental staffing therefore you will need to be highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively. You will show good attention to detail, be accurate and passionate about providing superb customer service to all those who come into contact with the NHS GGC’s Recruitment service.
Person Specification
We are looking to appoint an individual who will bring experience of working successfully in a high volume and fast paced Recruitment/HR resourcing role with experience of using a Recruitment Applicant Tracking system and or HR systems /IT systems with a paperless ethos. You must also be competent in a variety of IT packages such as Microsoft Office including Excel.
With a positive approach to busy workloads we are seeking a candidate who will bring to the role experience of Recruitment/HR administrative procedures and practices and in particular experience of carrying out pre-employment compliance employment screening processes.
This role requires a motivated, passionate and driven individual who will relish the opportunity to work in a customer-focused Recruitment team. It is an essential requirement to demonstrate an ability to operate as part of an integrated team and at the same time manage your own work priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver the priorities of a time efficient Recruitment service. This role requires an individual who will demonstrate commitment to a customer service ethos and practice and be able to work well under pressure with a proven ability to prioritise an extremely varied, busy and often unpredictable workload.
Reporting to and working closely with your assigned Recruitment Team Lead you will contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective recruitment service across NHSGGC, and will be a service contact point for NHS GGC hiring managers and their staff for enquiries pertaining to the recruitment and selection of NHS staff.
Previous experience of NHS/healthcare recruitment and selection is desirable.
As this post will bring you into direct contact with job applicants, NHSGGC service managers, clinicians and staff participating in recruitment and selection it is essential that you can evidence excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
