Based in the Community Adult Assessment and Rehabilitation Service (CAARS) with a responsibility for Frailty
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy Services within (CAARS) based at the City Hospital in Aberdeen. The primary function of the team is to assess/treat patients and to work with them in their own homes, clinics and community settings to maximise their function and independence. The post holder will have a clinical case load, be responsible for managing a team of OT staff across a locality area, and will take a lead role in the development of the Occupational Therapy frailty service within the community.
Applicants will have considerable experience at Band 6 level and be able to demonstrate transferrable knowledge and skills to work effectively within an adult/aging population, in community and hospital settings. The applicant should have experience of supporting and managing staff, and be competent in dealing with day to day operational issues.
The successful post holders will be required to work 37.5 hours over a 7-day rota as required to meet the need of the service.
The post holder will be expected to have the ability to work independently and as part of a wider health and social care team. Supervision is provided and opportunities for continued professional development are encouraged.
A driving licence and daily access to a vehicle is essential for this post.
