SPECIALIST BIOMEDICAL SCIENTIST - Haematology/Blood Transfusion (Bank Contract)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate team spirit, initiative, flexibility and have the enthusiasm to train further.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a new facility with state of the art equipment: Transfusion has Grifols Eflexis platforms and Haematology and Coagulation are equipped with Sysmex analysers which are integrated to Roche pre analytics and track.
This post involves rotation through the various sections within the departments and the post holder will be will be required, following suitable training, to cover the 24/7 laboratory service. Working hours include day shifts, evenings, weekends and overnight working when suitably trained.
The department is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189 and is IBMS approved for Biomedical Scientist training. Active participation in CPD and opportunities for further study are both supported and encouraged.
