We are looking for an experienced Children’s Nurse to join our established team of Community Children’s Nurses. This is a fixed term / secondment post made available due to Maternity leave cover. This is a busy Fife wide service with a diverse patient group between the ages of birth and 18 years; this post will be covering the North East Fife caseload.
We are looking for a confident, motivated nurse to join the team, you will require to be a flexible practitioner within the community setting, a good team player and be able to develop collaborative working relationships with other health professionals from both local area and tertiary centres / Social Work / Education / CHAS (Rachel House Childrens Hospice) Third sector agencies and voluntary agencies.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner carrying clinical responsibility for a caseload of Children & Young people, delivering high quality, safe and effective care in a variety of settings across the community (Home, Schools, Nurseries, Child Development Centres, Respite and Residential unit.)
You must be a registered children’s nurse ideally with significant experience of working with children and young people within an acute or community setting. You must also demonstrate knowledge and principles of teaching others.
Previous experience of working with children and young people with complex needs would be advantageous.
You will be inducted into the team and have opportunities to develop both clinically and professionally within a supportive environment. You will be encouraged to participate in peer supervision and service developments.
