Nurse Team Leader – Band 7.

This is a very exciting opportunity to join a new service for women and families in the Grampian area. This development is part of a substantial programme of work occurring across Scotland to improve provision to women with, or at risk of, mental ill health in pregnancy or the postnatal period, their infants, partners and families.
You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of colleagues in psychiatry, nursing and midwifery, the allied health professions, and psychology.
Some key aspects of this role are to:
- Provide a high-quality clinical service to families using the Perinatal service
- Manage nursing team and co-ordinate, in conjunction with nurse management team, to meet the wide range of clinical and social needs of mothers experiencing mental health difficulties as per agreed referral criteria.
- Ensure delivery by a multi-disciplinary team, of person centred, aspirational recovery focussed and evidenced based care, taking in to account the psychological therapies matrix. This will be demonstrated through measureable and reportable outcomes; e.g. regular statistical returns.
We welcome applicants with no previous experience in this specialist area, who are keen to develop expertise in perinatal nursing.
