We are looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated·, enthusiastic registered nurse who is ready to embrace the challenges of a busy AAU/CAU. This post will have specific key responsibilities associated with the receiving of calls primarily from our emergency department and GP's but also from CTH and clinics, having a high level of interpersonal and communication skills are essential as well as having a good knowledge of clinical conditions.
You will be required to have the ability to carry out phone tri_age in order to be able to assess appropriate placement of patients who are coming into our unit and having excellent communication skills is essential as well as being a Senior Staff Nurse post and being responsible for a team of staff. The post holder will work closely and liaise with the Emergency Department as well as our patient flow and the Senior Charge Nurses (AAU / CAU), ensuring a safe & effective person centred journey for patients in/out of the unit.
You will provide direct team leadership to an assigned group of staff in the nursing workforce as well as working on their defined aspect of the wider specific job role. To do this you must have clear leadership skills, clear and unambiguous communication skills, a sound clinical knowledge of acute receiving unscheduled care; with a willingness and commitment towards developing other members of the nursing workforce while being be able to demonstrate commitment to the team / unit.
