Clinical Practice Preceptor
NHS Borders have a temporary opportunity for an experienced registered nurse who is enthusiastic about the nursing profession and has a desire to support newly qualified nurses translate their knowledge, grow in confidence and understand how to apply the Nursing & Midwifery Code in their day-to-day work. This is an ideal opportunity for recently retired nurses.
You will play a crucial role in introducing a Preceptorship model to integrate newly qualified practitioners (NQPs) into their new teams and place of work. You will assist the new graduate in the development of skills such as critical thinking by assessing the learning needs and collaborating to determine goals and learning outcomes.
NHS Borders serves a population of approximately 110,200 and employs in the region of 4,000 staff across 1 District General Hospital, 4 x Community Hospitals, a variety of Health/Medical Centres and 26 GP Practices.
Accountable to the Clinical Practice Lead, and working as part of the Clinical & Professional Development Team, your development will be enhanced aligned to your needs.
