Support to Immunisation -  Flu/COVID Vaccination Programme

NHS Lothian has a vacancy for a part time (0.21 WTE/8 hour per week) medical clinical post, initially until March 2022. Work is home-based with support from and collaboration with the wider Public Health team. Ideally working hours should be spread through the working week.

The post was created to contribute clinical expertise and knowledge to the Public Health Immunisation Team working closely with partners to deliver the Influenza/COVID-19 (Flu/COVID) Vaccination Programme.

The post involves providing clinical input into queries received by NHS Lothian and work closely with the Public Health Immunisation Team to document and respond to queries. The post-holder will provide clinical input into the Adverse Events Report for national weekly reporting requirements. The post-holder will contribute clinical input into the development of clinical pathways related to the Flu/COVID Vaccination Programme and into locally produced clinical information.

The post-holder will be required to keep up to date with changes to the Green Book Guidance on Immunisation against Infectious Disease, relevant Patient Group Directions (PGDs), as well as Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and Medicines and Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA) guidance.
