HEALTHCARE SUPPORT WORKER
Band 2 : £19,609 - £21,615 (pro rata)
33 hours per week, Fixed term contract until 31/05/2023
Secondment Opportunity
We are looking for someone who is self motivated, has good communication skills, and keen to be part of a busy team. The role would include: supporting our patients throughout their Outpatient appointment, helping, directing, chaperoning, being Patient advocate and assisting Consultants with clinical examination and procedures.
Our clinics run Monday-Friday 0800-1800hrs, with occasional Weekend work also available, to meet the needs of the service.
During Covid we have also been supporting Outpatient Covid Screening at the Entrance, your role would also involve this aspect of our work, helping our patients to feel safe, and providing assistance when required.
Good communication skills are vital with this role, ensuring we are giving clear advice, and direction to our patients, and ensuring any issues are communicated to the Nurse in Charge.
Knowledge of Turas Learn, and Mandatory Training updates would be advantageous, although we will support you in providing time for Learning.
