Job Purpose:
- By using Trak, book transport for transfer and discharge of patients from 35 sites across NHS Lothian and repatriation to other Boards primarily across NHS Scotland.
- By using guidelines, determine the most appropriate patient transport method for patient transport.
- To book taxis, couriers, and Blood Bikes Scotland transport by applying the appropriate policy or guideline for NHS Lothian and Borders.
- By taking direct calls from patients and use Trak, to book transport for patients to Golden Jubilee National Hospital, Glasgow
- By using Trak book transport for discharge of patients from Borders General Hospital
This role involves covering week days, weekends and overnight shifts and is fixed-term for six months.
