Cancer Information Project Manager

NHS Lothian / South East Scotland Cancer Network
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with information and project management experience to join the NHS Lothian Cancer Information Team (CIT) with a remit to progress the development and modernisation of the South East Scotland Cancer Database (SESCD).
The CIT sits under Cancer Services in the Edinburgh Cancer Centre at the Western General Hospital site in NHS Lothian. The CIT provides cancer data, analysis and intelligence as well as statistical services and advice that support the ECC and colleagues in partner boards in the South East Scotland Cancer Network (SCAN). Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team the postholder will be responsible for leading developments in Cancer Information Systems for the effective use of cancer intelligence across NHS Lothian and SCAN.
This post requires highly developed project management skills, strong organisational skills and ideally information management experience. Effective and confident communication skills are necessary. You are required to have a degree and relevant project management experience, ideally in a healthcare environment.
