Job Advert
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and well motivated dietitian with an interest in adult weight management. The post holder will provide a clinical service for patients in the Tier 2 arm of the AWM service across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire and will lead and develop the tier 2 AWM service for the whole of Grampian in line with local and national targets.
You will be part of a team of community dietitians within Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire but will also work as part of the wider health and social care team to deliver services across the partnerships.
You will be responsible for the operational management and support of small number of staff involved in delivering the AWM service, including a HCSW and administrator. Services are provided to patients in clinics, care homes and their own home, although we are now delivering many services remotely using telephone and Near Me. You will also have the opportunity to deliver group sessions (remotely where possible) to patients and participate in training as required.
This is an ideal opportunity for candidates wishing to develop and progress their career and professional practice in a department that recognises the value of ongoing CPD, robust clinical supervision system and exposure to a variety of development opportunities.
We participate in undergraduate student training, taking students for their B & C placement. We work with dietetic colleagues across Grampian on shared issues and initiatives such as clinical effectiveness, patient safety and patient centeredness.
Delivery of a high quality dietetic service is high on our agenda.
You must be a car driver and hold a full driving licence.
There is a requirement to work over 7 days
