Associate Nurse Director- Mental Health and Learning Disability

Are you an experienced senior mental health or learning disability nurse and leader with skills and expertise within in-patient and community services?  Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge in a fantastic location?  If so NHS Highland are seeking a high calibre, motivated, caring and compassionate nurse for the new role of Associate Nurse Director - Mental Health and Learning Disability.   The role will give greater professional leadership and visibility to support and develop the key roles provided by Mental Health and Learning Disability nurses across the organisation.

You would be working closely with a broad range of colleagues with the aim of improving patient/service user experience through high quality, safe and recovery focussed care; person centred clinical practice and service delivery.    You would need to establish effective partnership working across all agencies and promote integrated working.  You would be providing professional advice on aspects of care and of policy development for NHS Highland and partner organisations and contributes to wider strategic planning. 

This role will be accountable for professional standards in Mental Health and Learning Disability nursing, specifically (but not exclusively) workforce planning, workforce development and clinical standards. Involvement in national networks and benchmarking will be required and will provide real opportunities for the postholder to take forward improvement and innovation.

If you are a Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability nurse, with the  leadership experience we are looking for, recent clinical practice in mental health or learning disability services and are educated to Masters level (or equivalent), then please get in touch.
