The Scottish Government is investing £3 million to pilot Early Cancer Diagnostic Centres (ECDCs) at three sites in Scotland he Scottish Government and NHS Fife has secured investment to become one of the sites to pilot Early Cancer Diagnostic Centres (ECDCs).
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new project team implementing rapid diagnostic pathways and improvements to cancer services across Fife. This project aims to make a significant difference to those on cancer pathways, ensuring that diagnosis and treatment are prompt, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
The aim of the project delivery is to improve the early diagnosis of cancer by:
- Having Earlier Identification
- Timely Referral
- Symptom Assessment and Co-ordination
- Smooth Ongoing Referral
- Excellent Patient Care and Co-ordination
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated GP Lead role, providing you with the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge while working in a dynamic team (The Transformation & Change Team). This is a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity until 31st March 2022.
