PRINCIPAL CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (INFANT MENTAL HEALTH)
Band 8B - £61,325 - £66,018
37.5 hours per week – Full time, Permanent
Applications are invited to be part of an exciting development to be part of new perinatal and infant mental health services for the HHSCP.
This is one of six posts currently being recruited to. The post-holder will develop and deliver direct and indirect perinatal mental health services, providing high quality, responsive assessment, formulation, intervention, consultation, training and liaison, and working as part of the specialist NHS Highland community perinatal/infant mental health team. A close working relationship is expected with the Infant Mental health Principal Clinical psychologist working in the PNIMH Service. The post-holder will be responsible for developing skills within the integrated infant/peri-natal mental health team and wider multi-agency children’s services, across both statutory and non-statutory organisations.
The post-holder will provide expert, prioritised, comprehensive, specialist psychology services to colleagues and organisations concerned with the delivery of health care to women in pregnancy postnatally/ and their infants in Highland. The post-holder will also case manage women in pregnancy and postnatally who require specialist Tier 3/4 intervention. Training and development will be provided to clinical psychology trainees and to other professionals, paraprofessionals and workers in the voluntary sector.
The team will have links with the perinatal mental health regional network and deliver services in line with the guidance and direction of the Scottish Government Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Programme Board.
