Job Advert

Are you well organised and have good attention to detail?  Someone who can proactively think two steps ahead when working in a fast-paced environment?

Why not consider an opportunity to work as a PA/Administrator within Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland, part of National Services Scotland.

ARHAI Scotland leads and supports efforts to prevent healthcare associated infection by means of guidance development, surveillance, operational support and training, covering areas such as surgical-site surveillance, decontamination, microbiological surveillance, research and infection prevention and control.

We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic approach and experience in a similar role.  Successful candidates must have well-developed organisational abilities and a flexible approach to working as you need to be unflappable and resilient when you need to get things done. You must also have the confidence to act on your own initiative particularly when dealing with confidential administrative duties and enquiries on behalf of the wider team.

As secretariat for multiple national meetings we need someone who has good interpersonal and communication skills as you will be interacting closely with colleagues across all teams and engaging with key stakeholders from across Scotland.

The postholder should be educated to HNC in Office Administration, or related subject, or have equivalent relevant experience.  You will be experienced in Microsoft Office packages and essentially accurate minute taking skills.  Knowledge and experience of the NHS would be advantageous.

The location of the post will be Glasgow, however, due to COVID-19 working from home may be required.

Due to current COVID-19 physical (social) distancing measures, interviews will be held via MS Teams or SKYPE.

A minute taking test will be included as part of the interview.

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.

If this role could be for you then get in touch. Further information can be found in the job description and person specification but if you would like to have an informal chat please contact Suzanne Jardine (suzanne.jardine@nhs.scot) or on 0141 300 1175.
