As a Healthcare Support Worker, based out of Trindlemoss House, you will be working within the Learning Disability Service. The role of the service is to provide 24 hour nursing care, support and supervision to residents who have a learning disability and additional complex needs, including autism, health care needs and behaviours perceived as challenging.
You will possess a SVQ 3 in health and social care (or comparable) or equivalent level of experience of working with people with a learning disability and complex needs. Experience of working with people with autism is desirable. You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and have the ability to attain the above qualification if not already held.
It is essential that you possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to work as part of a team. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of person centered approaches, positive behaviour support and of the health needs of people with a learning disability.
Hours: 30 per week.
