Occupational Therapy Team Lead (Band 7)(1.0WTE/37.5 hours)

Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity (initial 1 year period)

We are looking for a creative, innovative and experienced Occupational Therapist who has the leadership qualities and confidence to take up this unique and exciting development opportunity.  This post will be responsible for the leadership and management to modernise and reconfigure the Occupational Therapy Service within Renfrewshire HSCP Community Mental Health Services.
The team lead will be responsible for the leadership of a team of highly skilled occupational therapy staff.  Initial priorities include the development of a new model of service delivery to all community mental health specialities, engagement with Nurse Team Leads and other management colleagues and the development of an innovative occupational therapy community service.   
The team lead must demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills, previous experience and involvement service development and improvement and an interest in the leadership of a new service.
The team lead will be expected to support the Service Manager and Care Group Lead Occupational Therapist and be involved in work attached to the 5 year MH Strategy.  Support will be provided through professional supervision and TURAS appraisal with the Care Group Lead Occupational Therapist.  Also the opportunity to link with team leads across NHSGGC.

The shift pattern for this post is Mon - Fri
