The Workforce Supply Unit is a new initiative within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to complement its existing Recruitment Service.  The specialist unit will provide a range of services to deliver access to healthcare professionals that are appropriately qualified, skilled and engaged to deliver high quality and person-centred care. This will include a heavy focus on the use of international recruitment.

As the Workforce Supply Coordinator you will support the administration, coordination and provision of specialist advice for healthcare candidates moving into posts within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.  

This is a key role within the newly established NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Workforce Supply Unit and will focus on the coordination, planning and delivery of recruitment programmes to attract domestic and overseas candidates into hard to fill roles within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.  

You will need to establish yourself as a knowledgeable practitioner with familiarity in the design and development of candidate marketing and engagement programmes which will attract global healthcare professionals into NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This will include the coordination of proactive approaches to utilising online, social and professional networking sites to identify and source international candidates and establish high quality candidate application and selection processes to support international recruitment programmes.  

As a coordinator, you will contribute towards building a strong presence at a local, regional and national level for the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Workforce Supply Service and be active in developing and executing activities to access international healthcare professionals to meet current and future vacancy activity.  
 
You will be instrumental in facilitating a change programme to ensure a smooth and effective relocation and transition for international candidates offered employment within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, which will be a key priority of the Service.  
 
You will hold a minimum of SCQF Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Administration (or similar).  Strong candidates will have experience of delivering people-based services in a recruitment / HR operation within large complex organisations.  Displaying confidence and being able to use problem-solving skills are essential as a Workforce Supply Coordinator. It will be looked on favourably if you have experience of coordinating full lifecycle recruitment processes from defining job requirements, developing candidate sourcing strategies, candidate application routes and creating selection and testing frameworks across NHS professions. Candidates who can also demonstrate evidence of supporting employees onboarding / relocation into the UK are highly derisible.

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.  However, there will be a requirement to work flexible work patterns when engaging with international candidates in differing time zones.
