The Care Home Hub offers a new and exciting opportunity to work in partnership with Care Home and HSCP Teams across GGC to drive and develop improvements for both residents and staff. NHSGGC Corporate Nursing, Midwifery and AHP team are looking to recruit motivated, passionate, committed individuals with a particular interest in Quality Improvement.
The post holder is responsible for designing tertiary education packages, to develop a career pathway for registered nurses organising, supporting and delivering appropriate Masters level education to train nurse practitioner and advanced nurse practitioners.
The post will specifically support the development of the ANP within Care Homes and non-hospital care settings including peoples own homes.
Developments will be in line with the Board’s Advanced Practice Strategy and business plans, and with national developments. The post-holder is expected to contribute to working at both a strategic level with Higher Education Institutions and NHS organisations.
The post-holder will also work collaboratively to support the development of advanced practice in a wide range of settings across NHSGGC. The post-holder will also support, where appropriate, the development of Advanced Practice roles in the Allied Health Professions where there’s overlap with the ANP role.
The post holder will also be able to practice in an advanced nurse practitioner role and be able to make complex clinical decisions using expert clinical judgement, is an essential member of an interdependent health care team and whose role is determined by the context in which s/he practises. The post holder will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group, and competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group.
