As Laboratory Reception Supervisor, you will supervise and motivate Medical Laboratory Assistants (MLA's) and Associate Practitioners working in specimen reception to ensure the provision of a high quality, timely, and cost efficient pre-analytical service for the blood sciences Laboratories in South Glasgow. Your main base will be within the state of the art Laboratory Medicine Building at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
You will be responsible for the organisation of staff and workload to maintain efficient workflow through the department, prioritisation of urgent requests, balancing competing demands of routine and specialist areas and use of technical knowledge and skills to advise and support the staff.
It is essential you have a HND or HNC/SVQ 3/SCQF Level 7 or equivalent in a science subject with additional theoretical or applied training to diploma equivalent level and have an in depth knowledge of laboratory reception duties and procedures.
Shift pattern for this post is Monday-Friday between 0800-2000
