Due to retirement, we currently have a vacancy for a Badgernet midwife in our Maternity Service in Fife. This post is initially 22.5 hours with the potential to increase to full time in late 2023.
We are looking for a motivated, experienced midwife to support staff with the use of Badgernet. You will be expected to support the maternity workforce to deliver quality care to women and families through the effective use of the maternity IT system.
Staff support and training is an integral part of the role.
Working alongside key personnel, you will be responsible for the identification of work processes that support the continuing use of BadgerNet. This involves working through all updates on the latest release, updating training and Crib sheets if required.
Our unit is modern and progressive with approximately 3300 births per year. The services include outpatient and community services, a complex care Consultant Unit and an alongside Midwife Led Unit. We have an Induction of Labour unit and Elective Caesarean section team. We have the following additional teams: Birth at Home Team, Vulnerable in Pregnancy, Infant Nutrition, Perinatal Mental Health and Child Protection.
We are continuing to develop services in line with Best Start recommendations, focussing on increasing our rates of continuity of carer in the first instance.
We will encourage you with your professional development educational via our dedicated clinical midwife educator and midwifery PEF. We have an extremely successful in house leadership programme and regularly encourage staff to participate in external networking.
You must be an experienced NMC Registered Midwife, educated to degree level. Knowledge of Badgernet is essential. In addition you should possess enthusiasm, excellent team working skills with effective communication.
