An opportunity has arisen at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for a senior registered nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and clinical skills in a Charge Nurse position.
The candidate should have a commitment to Acute Respiratory Medicine, patient centred care and supporting effective team working. The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, supporting the Senior Charge Nurse and the current Charge Nurse team in driving forward change within Ward 43. The post holder will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the organisation's objectives. The post holder must have post registration experience within an acute clinical setting and be able to demonstrate leadership knowledge and awareness. They must understand the complexities of caring for individuals with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses.  
Ward 43 consists of 30 inpatient beds and is a busy, acute and high turnover area. It is currently functioning as a Covid ‘red’ receiving area and ‘Amber’ respiratory beds.  As a Charge Nurse you will be expected to have an overview of the ward and support with capacity and flow ensuring timely access to the ward.
