These positions are band 6/7.
The successful candidates on completion of the necessary academic training, and after assessment of competence, will progress to being an Emergency Nurse Practitioner on the Band 7 salary scale.
Salary, Band 6: £33,072 - £40,736 per annum, Band 7: £40,872 - £47,846 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Department/Minor Injuries unit in Forth Valley to recruit both experienced or trainee ENP’s who will work between Stirling Care Village and Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Applicants should have a good knowledge of working in an Emergency department and be committed to a progressive approach to become an independent Emergency Nurse Practitioner. You must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, kind, caring and hard working. You will be able to demonstrate that you are an effective communicator who works well within a team.
You must be able to demonstrate that you are an able practitioner that has commitment and an understanding of this role and the level of responsibility and autonomy this is required. You must demonstrate your commitment to the delivery of person centred care while ensuring that quality standards and key performance indicators are met.
The flexibility to work as the situation and service requires is an essential aspect of this post. You will be expected to work a flexible pattern which includes days, evening and weekend shift rotation.
For progression to the position of band 7 you must successfully complete your Minor Injury Qualification, nurse prescribing and clinical examination qualification. You will also have to work through a competence programme to give assurance you are a competent autonomous practitioner. There would be an expectation that you should have completed all relevant training and qualifications consolidated with 5 year role specific experience.
