Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
What you'll do
Key tasks will include but are not restricted to;
Support all administrative stages of the recruitment and selection process ranging from application stage to offer stage including all onboarding activities.
Supporting all administrative stages of the employment journey in accordance with the policies and procedures e.g. occupational health referrals, absence management etc
Record management, managing systems and providing comprehensive reports.
Managing mailboxes and telephones, responding to queries and providing first level advice and support (where appropriate) to a range of customers and stakeholders at all levels
Co-ordinating events (including off site) and meetings including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, taking minutes/notes, monitoring follow up actions and distributing papers.
Keeping the intranet up to date
Work flexibly across all teams in HR to help achieve the Directorates’ deliverables.
Contribute to continuous improvement within the teams to provide a high-quality and value add service
Any ad hoc administration task as required
What you'll bring
These will include but are not restricted to;
Relevant experience in a general office role, for example typing, administration, secretarial or other areas relevant to the duties of this post
Good working knowledge of a range of office procedures, systems and digital packages Microsoft packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Able to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines
Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude with a flexible and customer focused approach, taking ownership and accountability for work where appropriate
Ability to perform a range of administrative tasks with good attention to details
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
