Applications are invited for highly motivated Podiatrist for the roles of Specialist Podiatrist as Associate Clinical Teacher.

This post will initially be based at the Podiatry Department at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and in time may develop to working across various locations within NHS GG&C.

The Podiatry Service aims to deliver high quality care to patients and their carers.

The key responsibilities of the service are to provide triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a diverse range of conditions and patient types in a variety of environments. There is also a key role in linking with care homes, nursing homes and other care providers as a point of contact and expert advice.

The service is patient centred and needs led with clinical assessment and diagnosis leading to patient management plans tailored to meet the needs of individual patients. There is a focus on rehabilitation with a self care element included in treatment plans where appropriate.

We have a commitment to providing high quality clinical practice placements for undergraduate students in the Podiatry Department at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and across the service.  These roles work closely with undergraduate students and liaise with our Higher Education Institution Colleagues.

Applicants should have a degree or diploma in Podiatry, current HCPC registration and POM-A entitlement. They should have minimum of 2 years of post graduate experience or equivalent in specialist area. Experience of practice education and interest in MSK Podiatry would be desirable.  Excellent communication skill and the ability to demonstrate effective clinical leadership are is essential to this role. 

The shift pattern is; Mon – Fri 08:30-16:30
