An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-motivated people to join our travel medicine services as we expand.
The successful candidate will join a small but enthusiastic team and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of travel medicine across NHS Lothian. The post holder will be responsible for:
Providing travel health in-clinic and remote consultations to a wide range of clients
Providing risk assessment, advice, administering vaccinations, malaria prophylaxis and other travel related medicines within the framework of NHS Lothian Patient Group Directions
Utilising a variety of electronic data sources to provide up to date information and NHS Lothian's clinic software to maintain accurate customer records.
Ensuring good communication within the clinical team and a safe environment for the delivery of clinical services in NHS Lothian
Some experience in delivering travel medicine is expected, however, further training will be provided. You will be provided with a comprehensive learning and development pathway to help shape and direct your career as a travel nurse in NHS Lothian.
The post will be based within the Western General Hospital and at Clinic sites across NHS Lothian
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
