We are currently seeking to engage an enthusiastic individual with experience of staff management, excellent organisational, communication and change management skills and confidence in presenting to groups. Previous experience in both Portering and Grounds services is not essential, but experience in one of them required.
Your initiative, insight and vision and the capacity to translate them into operational systems will be key when working in a challenging and changing environment which spans across a wide geographical area, whilst ensuring consistency in service provision, and experience in improvement work would be desirable yet not essential.
You will have a base in Aberdeen and will have responsibility for Portering and Grounds staff across various sites within NHS Grampian so travel to NHSG community sites in Moray, Aberdeen North, City and South, Aberdeenshire, as service needs require, so a confident driver is essential.
As the senior manager within Portering and Grounds services, reporting to the Head of Logistics Services and be a strong link from strategic vision to operational implementation. Working with autonomy in a highly political and complex environment, and have the ability to provide accurate reporting trends and key areas for improvement with a solution focused attitude.
A proven track record of effective communication during a change in practice will be evident for the successful candidate, along with strong staff management skills and ability to cope with pressures, demands and ambiguities whilst striving to achieve results.
Familiarity with current political, legislative and business developments which may impact on the service and how to translate these to practice is essential.
