This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. An exciting opportunity for a band 3 support worker has become available within NHS Lothian, St John’s Hospital. This post will be based within the rehabilitation ward where we provide assessment and rehabilitation to adults and older people.

Person centred, goal focussed input is provided to facilitate safe discharge home from hospital. The post holder will be allocated a delegated patient caseload by the qualified therapists, to implement and modify existing treatment plans within scope of practice. You will be required to work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team, including a range of community services.

Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to complete clinical and non-clinical duties together with service development activities. Regular training, supervision and support will be provided to enable the post holder to work within their agreed competence levels.

Within NHS Lothian, we work to a 7 day service meaning you will be required to work weekends, as per rota (1 day, Sat or Sun every 6 weeks). Due to service demands with the rehab therapy team, we are asking for the applicant to work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
