We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate nurse to join our team in NHS Forth Valley as Nurse Consultant in Cancer and Palliative Care. This is an exciting and rare opportunity for a nurse with extensive experience in cancer nursing care and palliative and end of life care including nonmalignant disease. It is a strategic position within the organisation with the successful candidate leading on new initiatives in nursing in these areas of care, working collaboratively with colleagues in health and social care to achieve the best outcomes for those affected by cancer or with palliative or end of life care needs patients and those important to them. There is close working with Third Sector including supporting teams in Care Homes where required.
Applicants must be highly motivated and able to demonstrate an ability to perform the functions of the nurse consultant role: - professional leadership, expert clinical practice, research and education and training. You will also be an essential member of our senior nursing leadership team in Forth Valley.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
Applicants will be registered with the NMC and educated to at least Master’s level or equivalent.
