Respiratory Specialist Nurse/Respiratory Nurse
FIXED-TERM for 9 months – to cover Maternity leave, 30 hours per week
Band 5 or 6 depending on experience
The respiratory nursing team in NHS Borders is responsible for providing respiratory care support and expertise for patients with a variety of respiratory conditions (excluding lung cancer).
The post holder will be working in both hospital and community settings.
Acutely – in the BGH offering support/advice and expertise
Outpatient – Nurse led interstitial lung disease and oxygen assessment clinic
Community – domiciliary visits for patients on long term oxygen therapy and in patients in community hospital settings.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join the Respiratory Nursing team, the post is to cover maternity leave and will be fixed term for 9 months, 30 hours per week.
The banding of the post will be dependent on experience – Band 5 or 6 – would be suitable for someone looking to expand their knowledge and skills/ professional development or someone with existing experience looking to develop acute skills/specialise in Respiratory nursing.
The successful applicant would be expected to complete the Education for health level 5 COPD diploma module or alternative, depending on previous study/experience.
You will have the opportunity to work in a small, friendly, forward thinking Respiratory Team to deliver high standards of care for people with Respiratory conditions and their families/carers.
