Applications are invited for the post of Administrator for UK NEQAS/Genomics Quality Assessment Service (GenQA). The UK National External Quality Assessment Service (UK NEQAS) is an international organisation facilitating optimal patient care by providing a comprehensive assessment service for a wide range of disciplines throughout laboratory medicine. This is an excellent opportunity to join the UK NEQAS Genomics centre which comprises of two centres; one based in Edinburgh and the second in Oxford University Foundation NHS Trust. This post will be located at the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The Genomics EQA Scheme is a well-established and accredited EQA provider within the field of genomic diagnostic testing.

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team in this internationally respected EQA centre. The successful applicant will work with other healthcare scientists and centre staff to contribute to the effective and efficient service delivery of GenQA. The post holder will be responsible for the provision and co-ordination of comprehensive administrative and secretarial services to the Director and other team members, manage front of house reception, facilitate internal and external meetings and support GenQA purchasing. The successful individual will be expected to be able to use their own initiative, to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and to promote good working relationships with other colleagues and organisations, locally, nationally and internationally.
Applicants should hold a SVVQIII/HNC in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration or have equivalent experience, excellent organisation and communications skills, experience in an administrative position, advanced keyboard skills and good general education
