An opportunity has arisen for a Stores Person within the Southeast Mobility and Rehabilitation Technology (SMART) Services. The services are based at the SMART Centre, Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh, and the Community Equipment Service Store, Peffermill, Edinburgh, The SMART Centre (www.smart.scot.nhs.uk) provides highly specialised clinical rehabilitation technology services across the southeast of Scotland. The post is primarily based at the SMART Centre but may require the post holder to work at other NHS Lothian sites. The post holder will be required to undertake deliveries and collections to and from other locations (including care homes and patient’s homes) throughout the NHS Lothian area.

The post holder will work mainly within PPE store and collection hub, but will also be required to assist the Assistive Technology, Prosthetics and Orthotics Stores and Workshops, working to maintain a safe environment for all colleagues using the stores areas and to support achievement of all targets and objectives to meet the patient journey.

The post holder will work to the service’s standard operating procedures and NHS Lothian’s policies and procedures including all Health & Safety requirements.
