NHS Ayrshire and Arran CAMHS are excited to announce the development of our CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team, we aim to deliver excellent care and support by offering a quick efficient and effective service supporting young people where and when they need it.
We are inviting clinicians with experience of working with people with Neurodevelopmental conditions and co morbid mental health concerns, to apply for the team coordinators post, you will be part of an innovative service and will have the opportunity to shape the delivery of neurodevelopmental condition assessment and treatment for the young people and their families within Ayrshire and Arran. The post holder will be required to undertake clinical duties and provide a leadership role for the multidisciplinary team.
NHS Ayrshire and Arran CAMHS provides a specialist mental health service for children and young people aged 5 - 18 years presenting with a range of mental health conditions and developmental disorders. If you have a genuine interest in CAMHS then this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking dynamic multidisciplinary team.
The candidate will work with patients and their families in a variety of settings and be able to show an aptitude for working with this patient group.
We are looking for mental health clinicians who are enthusiastic, motivated and committed to working with young people who may have multiple and complex needs. You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment.
You will be supported by the CAMHS Service Manager through line management and supervision as well as receiving additional support supervision from the Senior Nurse for CAMHS.
The team will work alongside the Multidisciplinary Community CAMHS and CAMHS Unscheduled Care teams to provide a seamless service whilst maintaining close links with Paediatric Inpatient Service, Skye House (adolescent inpatient), Woodland View (AMH hospital) and Foxgrove (National Secure Adolescent Inpatient Service) to facilitate admission and discharge from inpatient services to provide in-reach and support where appropriate.
Hours: 37.5 per week.
