An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join the friendly, dynamic Restorative Dentistry team within NHS Grampian. This replacement post is available with immediate effect and is offered on a whole-time or part-time basis.
The post will be based within Aberdeen Dental Hospital and Institute of Dentistry which is a modern purpose built teaching hospital providing both undergraduate and postgraduate training in the region. The department has modern clinical accommodation with state of the art surgeries with a full complement of support staff including a Dental Hygienist and in-house Dental Laboratory. There is also a dedicated and fully staffed on-site Dental Imaging department with Radiology support with CBCT imaging available.
The Restorative Dentistry service provides specialist treatment across all branches of the discipline including an active dental implant service and provides diagnostic advice and treatment planning for General Dental Practitioners.
The successful applicant will have a broad interest in Restorative Dentistry, especially in the delivery of multi-disciplinary care involving Head and Neck Oncology and implant treatment.
A North of Scotland enhanced Restorative Dentistry service in the primary care setting is under development.
Applicants must be fully registered with the General Dental Council and be on the General Dental Council’s Specialist Register for Restorative Dentistry or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of a CCT at the time of interview for the post.
