An opportunity has arisen for an additional temporary Area Service Manager based within North Region in Grampian. This position will be additional to the current Operational management structure and will run to 31st March, 2022. The successful candidate will be provided with a defined portfolio for improvement deliverables.
This post will provide additional cover which will include evening and weekend hours of work. The successful applicant will be advised of their base location and expected hours of working as part of the recruitment process.
This additional managerial post will play a critical role in the achievement of the Regional performance plans and ensure continued communications with both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful applicant should possess the drive and enthusiasm to deliver results within tight timeframes and have an understanding of the key issues and challenges facing the Region and the wider NHS. It is essential that applicants possess excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, organisational, and analytical skills along with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and have the ability to build, motivate, and lead.
Applicants should ideally have previous supervisory experience, experience working with internal/external partners and implementing local delivery plans would be an advantage. The achievement of, or working towards a management qualification would also be advantageous but not essential.
Applicants must be committed to improving quality and standards of care, must also be IT literate and have a basic understanding of the Services C3 system.
